School Business Manager - About the role
Park View Primary School is part of the Keep Learning Trust and is committed to providing an excellent education by working together, we create lifelong chances and choices for all our pupils. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated school business manager to join our team and play a key role in the operational management of our school office.
As the School Business Manager, you will lead on all aspects of administration within the school office, provide direction to the caretaker with onsite maintenance, health & safety, and compliance. You will work closely with the Headteacher to ensure resources are used effectively to deliver the best outcomes for our pupils.
Key responsibilities include:
• Processing orders and invoices in compliance with statutory and trust requirements.
• HR processes including on boarding, sickness monitoring and SCR upkeep.
• Premises & Facilities: Manage school contracts, site maintenance, and health & safety compliance to ensure a safe learning environment.
• Compliance & Administration: Maintain the school website, oversee efficient office administration.
The successful candidate will:
• Experience working in a school setting is ideal; however, we also welcome applicants with strong transferable skills from other environments.
• Hold (or is working towards) a recognised School Business Manager qualification (CSBM, DSBM, or equivalent) – desirable but not essential.
• To solve problems and communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
• Be highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.
• Be confident in using different systems and have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office software/applications.
• Be committed to supporting the values and ethos of the school community.
