A Vacancy at Northumbria Healthcare - NHCT Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.
To maintain cleanliness throughout the theatre department to ensure operating theatres and the theatre environment is cleaned to a high standard aligning to all trust guidelines and policies.
Working alongside the clinical theatre teams supporting and ensuring all areas are to a high standard of cleanliness and supporting where additional resources are required within the unit.
Cleaning of floor areas as scheduled by means of vacuuming, mopping, buffing and spray cleaning.
Undertake deep cleans in areas where infection is present.
Removal of rubbish including domestic and clinical waste from designated areas to disposal point.
Cleaning of sanitary areas, toilet, sinks, shower cubicles and staff changing areas.
Damp dusting of all surfaces, ledges, shelves, curtain rails.
Cleaning of internal glass.
Maintain high standards of cleanliness in all work areas.
Carry out any urgent spot cleaning and spillage.
Participate in training programmes relevant to efficiency, fire drills, hygiene, the requirements of the health and safety at Work regulations and other courses as deemed necessary for the efficient working of the department.
Any other duties as deemed appropriate
