Summary

Drainage Groundworker Required: Short-Term Contract

Role: Skilled Drainage Groundworker

Location: Gateshead

Rate: £22.00 per hour (CIS)

Duration: 2 Weeks (Immediate Start)

Scope: Installation of drainage

The Role:

We are looking for a highly qualified Drainage Groundworker for a fast-paced, 2-week contract. The project involves the installation of drainage, requiring an operative who is confident in deep drainage, pipe laying, and working within specialized safety parameters.

Due to the nature of the site and the specific depth of the installation, we require a "safety-ready" operative with a full suite of valid tickets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Pipe Laying: Professional installation and bed/surround of 375mm drainage pipes.

  • Service Location: Using CAT & Genny to safely locate existing services before excavation.

  • Confined Space Entry: Working safely within manholes or deep trenches as required.

  • Plant Operation: Operating a Forward Tipping Dumper to move materials and muck-away.

Mandatory Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following valid qualifications:

  • CSCS Card (Blue Skilled Worker preferred).

  • Dumper Ticket (CPCS or NPORS with CSCS Logo).

  • Confined Spaces (Level 2/Medium Risk).

  • CAT & Genny Ticket (EUSR or recognized training).

  • Asbestos Awareness (UKATA or equivalent).

  • Manual Handling certificate.

Ideal Candidate:
  • Proven track record in industrial drainage and deep trench work.

  • Immediate availability for the full 2-week duration.

  • Reliable, punctual, and strictly follows site safety protocols.
