About the Role


Hays Education is looking for dedicated and compassionate SEN Supply Teachers to support specialist and mainstream settings across Eastbourne and the surrounding areas. This is an exciting opportunity for teachers who are passionate about supporting pupils with additional needs, enjoy variety in their work, and want to make a meaningful impact in local schools.


As an SEN Supply Teacher, you will:

  • Support pupils with a range of additional needs, including ASD, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and other learning differences.
  • Step into diverse educational environments across Eastbourne.
  • Create inclusive, engaging learning experiences that meet the needs of individual learners.
  • Build positive relationships with pupils and staff, adapting quickly to different school cultures.
  • Follow existing plans where provided and contribute your own expertise to maintain a supportive learning environment.


About You


We are seeking professionals who are:

  • Qualified Teachers (QTS or equivalent) with experience supporting pupils with SEN.
  • Confident in behaviour management and skilled at building rapport quickly.
  • Flexible, reliable, and proactive when supporting schools at short notice.
  • Passionate about inclusive education and committed to helping every learner progress.
  • Open to working across different types of SEN settings and school environments.
