Summary
£33,170 - £34,806 per annum (Grade 8)
Plus a tool allowance of up to £483.08 per year
We are seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated and customer-focused individual, who can fulfil this role within the Council’s Housing Repairs team
In this role you will spend your day undertaking a variety of repairs to our Council’s housing stock across a variety of trades such as joinery and plumbing. As you will be visiting various properties you will require excellent customer service skills in order to effectively communicate with our customers
Most of your work will be undertaken in tenanted properties, but you may also be required to work in empty properties to undertake work to get these ready for new tenants.
You will be provided with a company van for this role.
We’re looking for an individual who has experience of:
• Working in social housing
• Undertaking repairs in tenanted properties
• Working in a team
• Accurate record keeping
The ideal candidate will:
• Have excellent technical skills in more than one trade
• Hold a qualification to evidence their ability
• Have strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Be enthusiastic and self-motivated
• Have a flexible approach to meet the needs of a demanding service
• Be someone who represents our GREAT values and behaviours
