Summary
Exe Sailing Club is looking for a reliable and friendly Chef/Cook to run our club kitchen during the 2026 sailing season. You’ll prepare simple, well-presented meals for our members — including evening meals after sailing, Sunday lunches, and occasional weekend events.
You’ll work closely with our Bar & Hospitality Supervisor to ensure smooth service and may also help train and support other staff and volunteers
Working Hours: Part-time – 24 hours per week (Tuesday to Friday evenings, plus some weekends)
Contract Type: Fixed-term (April to October)
Main Duties:
- Prepare and serve meals for members and guests
- Plan menus and manage food orders and stock
- Maintain high standards of hygiene and food safety
- Support catering for club events and Sunday lunches
- Work as part of a small, friendly team
Requirements:
- Experience in a kitchen or catering environment
- Knowledge of food hygiene (Level 2 certificate or willingness to obtain)
- Calm, organised, and flexible approach
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Willingness to work evenings and occasional weekends
