Salary: £105-£140 per day (Dependent on experience and responsibilities)
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm

We are partnering with a friendly and inclusive specialist school in Rochdale that is looking to appoint a committed SEMH Behaviour Support Worker to join their dedicated team. This is a rewarding opportunity to positively influence the lives of pupils who benefit from consistency, understanding, and positive role models.
SEMH Behaviour Support Worker - Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with SEMH and behavioural needs
- Support the class teacher with lesson delivery, behaviour management, and targeted interventions
- Encourage positive behaviour, emotional regulation, and coping strategies throughout the school day
- Help monitor pupil progress and communicate effectively with teaching staff and families
What We're Looking For
- Experience working with children or young people with SEMH or behavioural needs (school, care, or youth work backgrounds welcome)
- A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to behaviour support
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships
- An understanding of SEMH and SEND strategies
- A relevant qualification in education, care, or support is beneficial but not essential
SEMH Behaviour Support Worker - To Be Eligible You Must:
- Hold the Right to Work in the UK
- Have an enhanced child barred list DBS on the update service (or be willing to apply)
- Be able to provide two professional references (child-related preferred)
