Summary

What skills and experience we're looking for

At our last inspection in October 2023, Ofsted judged our school as ‘Good’ and ‘Outstanding’ for behaviour and attitudes.

To maintain our high standards, we are looking for an outstanding teacher to provide maternity cover for our Year 6 class. This is a full-time position until the end of the summer term in 2027. Ideally, we would like a crossover period to allow the current postholder to induct the new teacher and support a smooth transition. The successful candidate will join a highly experienced and skilful team who work tirelessly to unlock the potential of our amazing pupils.

The successful candidate must have experience of teaching in Year 6 and will have the ability to deliver quality teaching that drives forward achievement and inspires a love of learning. You will be able to demonstrate experience of achieving positive outcomes for pupils, as well as being passionate about making a difference to the lives of young people. As a committed team player, you will have excellent organisational skills and the natural ability to motivate both pupils and peers.

You will have:

• A degree-level qualification and Qualified Teacher Status.
• Experience of innovation and creativity to engage, enthuse and progress learners.
• The ability to deliver effective and outstanding learning and teaching in the classroom.

If shortlisted, through observation, candidates will have the opportunity to showcase their passion for education and share their ability to motivate and challenge children. Through interview, they will demonstrate a commitment to all aspects of school life, experience of teaching Year 6 children and an ability to work collaboratively with all staff.

Visits to the school are welcomed and strongly encouraged prior to application. Please email head@cambridgeroad.cheshire.sch.uk to arrange a visit.

Closing date for applications is 3rd February with a view to interview and observe a lesson during week commencing 9th February. If you have not heard by 6th February then please assume you have not been successful. Please email asass@cambridgeroad.cheshire.sch.uk to request an application form and to return your completed application. We are not accepting applications from ECTs for this post.
