What skills and experience we're looking for
An exciting new position has been created for the opportunity to join a thriving Humanities Faculty to lead with the further development of the SPHERE curriculum and lead the implementation of a new Religious Studies GCSE course which is scheduled to begin being taught to year 9 in September 2026.
The successful candidate would have the ability to teach Religious Studies (KS4) and Sphere (KS3 & 4). This is also an opportunity to have an active role within the wider school community as a middle leader/TLR Holder.
What the school offers its staff
A great opportunity to teach History and Humanities in Shakespeare’s town. We:
• have had a very positive inspection by Ofsted under the new framework (see our website for details)
• are a genuinely inclusive school. People matter; everybody matters. We live and breathe by our values
• have strong leadership at all levels. This is a deliberate way of working and the school ‘is well led by many’
• have a really strong pastoral system and structures, resulting in high levels of behaviour and buy-in from our students and parents
• Have undergone development and building works to expand our site due to our increasing popularity and increased admissions applications. This has further enhanced our already excellent working environment/facilities and provide additional opportunities for your future development
• have talented, supportive staff who share and uphold the school’s values. They are committed to improving the school further and creating the best possible experiences for our students
• are part of a very special local community. Stratford upon Avon is a wonderful place to work.
Commitment to safeguarding
The School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Post is subject to an Enhanced DBS
