Summary

Class 2 (Cat C) Driver – Temp to Perm OpportunityWe are currently recruiting an experienced and reliable Class 2 (Cat C) Driver to join a well-established food distribution operation. This role offers consistent, ongoing work through the agency with a clear and structured pathway to a permanent position for the right candidate.Role overview:As a Class 2 Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of food products to a range of commercial customers. This is a physically active, customer-facing role requiring a high level of professionalism, attention to detail, and time management.Key responsibilities:Start times of 4:00 - 6:00am, ensuring timely loading and departureCompleting 10–12 hour shifts, depending on route and workloadTuesday - Saturday shift patternCarrying out multi-drop deliveries to food service customersSafe use of tail lifts, pump trucks, and cagesManual handling of goods in line with health & safety guidelinesCompleting all delivery paperwork and PODs accuratelyConducting vehicle checks and reporting any defects promptlyMaintaining high standards of cleanliness and care of the vehicleProviding excellent customer service at all delivery pointsComplying with all drivers’ hours, WTD, and road transport legislationPay & progression:£17.00 per hour while working through the agencyOpportunity to move onto a permanent contract paying £42,000+ per annum£2,000 Delivery BonusLong-term, stable work for drivers who demonstrate reliability and commitmentCandidate requirements:Valid Class 2 (Category C) driving licenceUp-to-date Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph cardPrevious Class 2 experience preferredExperience in multi-drop or food distribution is advantageousGood geographical knowledge and confident use of road networksPhysically fit and comfortable with manual handlingStrong timekeeping, reliability, and a professional attitudeGood communication skills and customer-focused approachWhat’s on offer:Ongoing agency work with consistent shift patternsClear temp-to-perm pathwayEarly starts allowing earlier finishesWell-maintained, modern fleetSupportive transport and operations teamExcellent long-term earning potentialThis role is ideal for a Class 2 driver seeking consistent work, long-term security, and progression into a permanent, well-paid position.
