Salary: Salary: Grade J. Scale 40 - £51,356 to Scale 43 - £54,495 with a professional bar at Scale 41 - £52,413**

Hours Per Week: 36

Base Location: Tameside One, Market Place, Ashton-under-Lyne, OL6 6BH

The Role

Tameside are currently looking to recruit an experienced Out of Hours Team manager to join us as we continue to make a real impact on children’s lives in Tameside.

You will be working with colleagues who are passionate about delivering the best possible service to children, young people and their families. Your responsibilities in this role will be:

        • Working with young people in families in immediate crisis
        • Maintaining relationships with a variety of different teams and local authorities
        • Gathering and collating relevant information with our partner agencies.
        • Analysing the information to make professional judgements and recommendations
        • Good evidenced based decision making with the ability to work autonomously
        • Varied working over 7 days i.e. a standard FT worker would work 36 hours over 5 days out of 7 Monday to Sunday
        • 15% weekend enhancement when rota’d to work weekend
        • Third night rate enhancement when rota’d to work nights (10pm to 6am)
        • Bank Holiday
        • Standby

You will be surrounded by a strong supportive network of experienced Social Workers and Managers who will provide you with a comprehensive induction, training, help and advice to enable you to reach your full potential.

Within this role, you will have the opportunity to put your previous experience to good use and develop and embed further skills and knowledge. You will be a good team player who can be flexible within your role. You will be an excellent support to your team and have good knowledge and skills to deal with immediate crisis and emergency situations.
