Plus generous benefits, including: • 57 days annual leave per year (including bank holidays and efficiency closures)• Generous Occupational Pension Scheme About the roleWe are seeking a motivated and flexible teacher to join our creative media teaching team to cover maternity leave. Teaching duties primarily include delivering our T Level Media, Broadcast and Production and Levels 2 & 3 Creative Media Production and Technology courses.The successful applicant will plan and deliver material for the T Level course. This includes engaging delivery of core and occupational specialism topics and supporting students as they develop practical skill and wider knowledge of the media industries in preparation for their Employer Set Project. The role also includes the assessment of student work, providing high-level feedback on student assignments. In addition, you will be joining the delivery team for both our Level 2 and Level 3 courses, collaborating with colleagues in supporting students develop practical production skills in media production.You would be joining a well-established teaching team and teaching on courses with successful track records. The courses are well-resourced and equipped, with technical support available for staff and students.The is a fixed-term role expected to last until the end of December 2026.About the personYou will have knowledge and experience of teaching Media courses in a further education environment or relevant industry experience. A sound grasp of relevant media concepts and practices is essential and familiarity with production processes and creative software (preferably from the Adobe Creative Cloud) would be a distinct advantage.A working knowledge of photo and video editing software is essential, as is an understanding of professional practices within a media framework, recent experience within a creative environment and current knowledge of industry trends and technologies.You will have a minimum of HND (or equivalent) in a relevant creative/media discipline, or/and relevant industry standard qualifications and experience and, ideally, a recognised teaching qualification.Whether you are an experienced FE tutor, a newly qualified tutor, or currently working in the industry, we encourage you to apply to join us in shaping the media producers of tomorrow.About the CollegeWe are a large, regional college serving a population across York and North Yorkshire of more one million people.
