Summary
Essentially, the successful candidate is required to have the following competency or the willingness to acquire skills on the job: Tracheostomy care. Epidural care. PCA care (patient controlled analgesia). Excellent leadership skills and resilience
To provide a focused leadership role and manage the staff and activities of the ward or clinical area as a ward based leader.
To act as a role model, provide leadership and co-ordinate the ward team in the clinical area. To demonstrate advanced clinical specialist skills in order to provide the highest standard of individualised evidence based patient centered care while supervising the work of others (in line with local and national standards). To be responsible for the ward/clinical area.

We run aWomen’s Health Hub in Ilford; anAgeing Well Centre in Hornchurch; and Community Diagnostic Centres (CDC) atBarking Community Hospital and atSt George’s Health and Wellbeing Hub. These CDCs are open 12 hours a day, 7 days a week.
The majority of our 8,400 staff – who come from 146 different countries - live in the three diverse London boroughs we serve and are from black, Asian and minority ethnic groups.
