We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers who also drive to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to clients at our Day Centre and will be required to drive, taking clients for shopping trips, appointments, and other community activities.
Your primary responsibility will be to assist individuals in their daily activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being while adhering to person-centred care plans. The ideal candidates must possess strong communication skills and a genuine drive to make a positive impact on the lives of those in our care.
Responsibilities
Personal Care: Assist participants with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming, while maintaining their dignity and privacy.
Mobility Support: Support individuals with mobility and physical activities as required, ensuring their safety at all times.
Meal Assistance: Help with meal preparation and feeding when necessary, following specific dietary requirements.
Community & Driving: Safely transport clients to and from the centre and accompany them on outings such as shopping or social activities.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of patient care and progress in accordance with individual care plans.
Communication: Communicate effectively with participants, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
Professional Development: Participate in mandatory training sessions and team meetings to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Compliance: Adhere to all health and safety regulations and safeguarding policies while providing care.
Requirements
Driving: A valid UK Driving Licence is essential.
Compliance: Successful candidates must undergo an Enhanced DBS check.
Documentation: Ability to provide proof of identity, right to work, and proof of address as part of the onboarding process.
Attributes: A patient, empathetic nature with a commitment to promoting independence for vulnerable adults.
