Summary
As a senior member of the Chemotherapy team, a key element of this role is to participate in service review, setting up new ways of working to support, develop and implement new nurse led clinics in order to ensure new NICE Guidance treatment pathways for oral chemotherapy treatment are in place.To autonomously assess individual patient needs who are receiving systemic anti-cancer treatment, initiating investigations, determining differential diagnosis and initiating appropriate holistic, evidence based treatment and care and conduct nurse led clinics independently. To provide specialist and advanced clinical skills supporting the medical staff and nursing teams within the oncology department and to participate in the education and development of chemotherapy staff.
