Phlebotomist Key Responsibilities Perform venepuncture and capillary blood sampling on patients of all ages Ensure correct patient identification and accurate labelling of samples Prepare samples for laboratory analysis in line with protocols Maintain high standards of hygiene, infection control, and health and safety Reassure patients and provide clear explanations of procedures Record and update patient information accurately Dispose of clinical waste safely and appropriately Report any adverse reactions or incidents promptly Maintain stock levels and equipment cleanliness
