Crynodeb
To work as an advanced practitioner, effectively delivering an expert nursing service within the orthopaedic specialist area. To work closely with the Orthopaedic Consultants and ensure that there is effective coordination of the patient surgical pathway from pre-assessment to surgery including development of integrated care pathways and procedure specific protocols based on current evidence-based standards. To establish clear lines of communication within the multi-disciplinary team and ensure cohesive multidisciplinary management of patients. Deliver educational programmes for patients, carers, nurses and other allied professionals. To provide a contact point for advice for orthopaedic patients throughout their hospital journey. To provide support in maintaining compliance to the National Joint Registry (NJR).
