The Team Leader leads a team of up to 12 Tutors and Administrators playing a key role in ensuring effective operation of Centres while supporting the development and management of the team. The position combines responsibility for maintaining compliance with health and safety standards, managing resources, supporting with the overall quality and performance for the Adult Skills contract and overseeing staff to foster a high-performance learning environment.

What you’ll do

Work closely with the Quality Lead to support the development and maintenance of quality assurance and standardisation processes, ensuring consistency across all training and assessment activities
Conduct monthly audits for the learner journey and report findings to Quality Lead
Support the planning and implementation of Observations of Teaching, Learning, and Assessment (OTLAs) and Safeguarding Walkthrough’s ensuring that Tutors are observed and provided with constructive feedback to enhance their professional development
Oversee the day-to-day management of Tutors and Administrators, ensuring that they have the support and guidance needed to perform effectively, monitor their performance, and foster an environment of continuous improvement
Responsible for all Learner starts, ensuring all submissions meet the requirements and errors are minimal
Ensure all documentation is completed in a timely manner to maximise ILR monthly deadlines
Assist with the delivery and administration of Initial Assessments (IAs) for learners, ensuring that each individual’s needs are properly identified at the start of their learning journey, enabling tailored support and progression
Provide cover for training or course delivery when needed, ensuring continuity of service and maintaining the quality of teaching and learning in accordance with contract requirements
What you’ll need

Level 2 English and Maths as a minimum
Education to Level 3 or above
Appropriate teaching qualification at Level 5 e.g., PTLLS, CTLLS, DTLLS, Cert Ed, PGCE
Level 3 in Safeguarding of Adults (or willing to achieve).
Proven experience in managing and developing staff, with a focus on performance management, feedback, and team development
Knowledge of DWP & Adult Skills contracts
Overseas equivalent qualifications will be accepted.
