Location: Luton (office‑based)
Hours: Monday–Friday, 8.00 AM – 5:00 PM (flexibility available)
Job Type: Full‑time, office‑based with occasional site visits

About the Role
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Bid Writer to join a well‑established contractor with a strong reputation for delivering high‑quality projects. You’ll be responsible for producing compelling, compliant and high‑impact bid submissions across public sector frameworks, commercial tenders and opportunities within high‑security and blue‑light sectors.
You’ll work closely with senior management and technical teams, ensuring every submission is accurate, persuasive and delivered on time.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the end‑to‑end bid and tender process
Write, edit and proofread clear, persuasive and compliant bid responses
Review tender documentation to identify requirements, risks and opportunities
Analyse scoring matrices and evaluation criteria to shape responses
Review feedback from unsuccessful bids and implement improvements
Maintain the tender pipeline database
Use digital and AI tools to improve efficiency
Coordinate input from subject matter experts and senior stakeholders
Develop bid plans, response structures and tailored win themes
Ensure submissions meet framework, regulatory, quality and security requirements
Manage submission deadlines, formatting standards and tender portals
Maintain and develop bid libraries, case studies, CVs and standard content
Support post‑submission activities including clarifications and presentations
Monitor framework opportunities and pipeline activity
Support continuous improvement of bid processes and content
Assist with one‑off business projects as required
What We’re Looking For
Proven experience as a Bid Writer within construction or a related sector
Exceptional written communication and editing skills
Highly organised, detail‑focused and commercially aware
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Comfortable working to tight deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
Strong stakeholder engagement skills
Confident in analysing tender documents and evaluation criteria
Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with tender portals is beneficial
Familiarity with AI‑assisted writing tools is advantageous
