Your new role
As a CNC Maintenance Electrician, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of manufacturing operations. Working on-site in Washington, Tyne & Wear, you'll be responsible for maintaining and repairing CNC machinery and associated electrical systems. This is a hands-on position requiring strong technical expertise and adaptability across three rotating shifts:
- Early: 6:00am - 1:40pm
- Late: 1:25pm - 9:05pm
- Night: 9:00pm - 4:00am (4 nights only)
What you'll need to succeed
Essential:
- Time-served Electrician with a completed 4-year apprenticeship (HNC/HND desirable)
- 17th/18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification
- Proven experience working on CNC machines in an industrial environment
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing setting
- Safety certifications (e.g., IOSH, Working at Height, MEWP licence, Confined Space)
Desirable:- HV/LV Switching experience
- Testing & Inspection (C&G 2391)
- Familiarity with industrial robots (Fanuc/ABB)
- PLC knowledge and troubleshooting skills
