This is a varied and dynamic position-no two days will be the same-and the work you do will have a meaningful impact on the business.Key responsibilities include:
- Performing daily bank reconciliations
- Managing weekly and projected cashflow
- Preparing financial reports, including work-in-progress and billing, for senior management
- Assisting with month-end and year-end close processes
- Handling completions, including CHAPS/BACS payments and checking completion statements
- Processing payments and receipts via online banking, cheques, and debit cards
- Managing invoices and maintaining an effective credit control system
- Overseeing daily banking, account scanning, and payment collection (phone and in-person)
- Responding to client finance queries and managing client opening/closing procedures
What You'll Need to SucceedOur client is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Finance Assistant with experience in a similar role. Ideally, you'll hold AAT Level 3 or above and have working knowledge of LEAP and Xero (training will be provided if needed).Additional requirements:
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Full right to work in the UK
- Ability to work 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM, fully office-based in Basingstoke
