About the RoleA supportive and inclusive school in Batley is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to work with pupils who have complex needs, including SEN and SEMH. This is a full‑time, long‑term position, offering consistency and the chance to build strong, positive relationships with pupils and staff.
What You'll Be Doing
- Providing 1:1 and small‑group support for pupils with a range of complex needs
- Assisting with behaviour regulation, emotional support and personalised learning plans
- Working collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs and external professionals
- Helping to create a safe, engaging and nurturing learning environment
- Encouraging independence, confidence and positive social skills
What We're Looking ForTo be considered, you must have:
- Recent experience (within the last 2 years) working in a UK school
- Proven experience supporting children with SEN and SEMH needs
- Availability to work 5 days per week
- A patient, resilient and proactive approach
- Strong communication skills and a genuine passion for helping young people thrive
