Are you an empathetic and dedicated Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding 1:1 support role?

We are seeking a focused individual to provide individual support to a specific child within a welcoming primary school environment. This is a unique opportunity to make a profound and immediate impact on a pupil's learning journey, confidence, and overall well-being.

Key Responsibilities

Working closely with the Class Teacher and the SENCO, your day-to-day will include:

  • Tailored Support: Providing consistent 1:1 support throughout the school day across all areas of the primary curriculum.

  • Plan Implementation: Delivering the child's Individual Education Plan (IEP) or Education, Health and Care (EHC) plan.

  • Adaptation: Modifying activities and preparing specific resources to suit the pupil's learning style and needs.

  • Intervention: Delivering targeted intervention sessions to boost progress.

  • Social & Emotional Guidance: Helping the pupil navigate social situations and managing emotional or communication needs.

  • Monitoring: Tracking, recording, and reporting on behaviour and academic progress.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a highly patient, resilient, and proactive individual who meets the following criteria:

  • Experience: Previous experience working with primary-aged children with SEN (e.g., ASD, communication difficulties, or SEMH).

  • Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills for interacting with the pupil, staff, and parents.

  • Professionalism: Ability to maintain strict professional boundaries and confidentiality.

  • Mindset: A deep commitment to promoting inclusion and fostering independence for the pupil.

  • Qualifications: Relevant qualifications in supporting teaching and learning or SEN are highly desirable.

What We Offer
  • Competitive Daily Rate: £88.92 - £95 per day.

  • Professional Growth: A specific temporary contract that provides focused, meaningful experience in the SEN sector.

  • Supportive Environment: Access to a collaborative team and regular guidance from the school SENCO.

  • Personal Fulfilment: The immense satisfaction of seeing a child thrive under your direct care.
