HGV Class 2 Driver / Yard Operative

Location: Tormarton, Bristol
Pay Rate: £16.00 per hour
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

We are currently recruiting an enthusiastic and committed HGV Driver / Yard Operative to join a busy and well-established safety fencing depot based in Tormarton, Bristol.

This is a varied, hands-on role combining HGV driving, yard duties and stock control, ideal for someone who enjoys a mix of driving and physical outdoor work.

The Role:

You will be responsible for supporting depot operations, ensuring materials and equipment are safely stored, maintained and delivered to site-based teams. Duties will include:

  • HGV driving (collections and deliveries as required)
  • Yard duties and general maintenance
  • Stock control, including unloading deliveries and checking goods in
  • Operating plant and machinery safely (training provided where required)
  • Ensuring yard security and safe working practices at all times
  • Completing required paperwork and documentation
  • Working closely with the wider team to support site operations
  • Suggesting improvements within your area of work

Requirements:

  • HGV Class 2 licence
  • Forklift / telehandler experience advantageous (training can be provided)
  • Comfortable working outdoors in a physically demanding role
  • Strong understanding of health & safety and safe working practices
