Summary

Deputy Nursery Manager (Level 3+) – Up to £40,000

This nursery, rated Good by Ofsted, provides high-quality early years care in a well-equipped environment, including a sensory room, forest school, and beautiful outdoor play areas. As Deputy Nursery Manager you will support the Nursery Manager in daily operations, lead a team, and remain hands-on with children to maintain high standards of practice.

Before You Apply

  • Applicants must have previous experience as a Deputy Nursery Manager or equivalent senior nursery role.
  • A full Level 3 early years qualification or above is required.
  • This role is not suitable for candidates without experience leading staff or managing nursery operations.

What You’ll Need

  • Level 3 (or above) early years qualification
  • Previous experience as a Deputy Nursery Manager or in a senior nursery role
  • Knowledge of EYFS, safeguarding, and Ofsted standards
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
  • Commitment to hands-on childcare while managing staff

  • Assist the Nursery Manager in running daily operations and staff supervision
  • Lead and coach staff to maintain high-quality EYFS practice
  • Remain actively involved in caring for and educating children
  • Ensure safeguarding, health, and safety standards are consistently met
  • Contribute to planning, monitoring, and reporting on learning and development
  • Support smooth communication with parents and external stakeholders
