HOURS: Full-time

WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least

two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sites

About this opportunity

You'll be part of a dynamic team collaborating to advance market risk practices, delivering high-quality analysis and change, implementing system enhancements, and supporting senior leaders with actionable insights. Your work will help inform business decisions and support regulatory compliance, making a real impact across the Group.

Day to day, you will:

  • Lead and embed change initiatives, ensuring successful adoption and measurable benefits across Market Risk and related functions.

  • Leverage system and technology knowledge to identify opportunities for simplification, automation, integration, and process optimisation.

  • Act as the Market Risk subject matter expert, providing insight for key initiatives and supporting senior leaders in decision-making.

  • Analyse complex business challenges, evaluate potential solutions, and recommend the most effective approaches from customer, Risk and commercial perspectives to delivery desired outcomes.

  • Coordinate with business and technology partners within and outside Traded Risk, gathering and clarifying change requirements, and ensuring alignment throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Drive progress on assigned initiatives, proactively identifying and resolving issues to keep deliverables on track.

  • Develop and execute robust testing strategies to ensure changes are implemented accurately and effectively.

  • Maintain comprehensive documentation to support transparency, knowledge sharing, and regulatory compliance.

  • Engage stakeholders at all levels, communicating complex information clearly and building strong working relationships.

  • Continuously seek opportunities for improvement, contributing to the evolution of processes and systems within Market Risk.

  • Support operational, compliance and other activities as needed, demonstrating flexibility and a commitment to team success.

What you'll need:

  • Proven experience in market risk, with strong knowledge of risk management practices and traded products.

  • Demonstrable experience in implementing change within complex, regulated environments, ideally using Agile (Scrum/Kanban) methodologies.

  • System knowledge, with hands-on experience of market risk management systems and related technologies.

  • Strong problem-solving skills; able to share knowledge and upskill others; can work both collaboratively and independently.

  • Good communication skills, able to deliver complex information simply and concisely.

And any experience of these would be really useful:

  • A successful track record in delivering Market Risk and system change, such as system integration and process automation.

  • Technologically savvy, with advanced skills in VBA, SQL, and AI.

  • Successful track record in project management delivery
