The Role
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Revenues Officer to join the Team dealing with the Administration, Collection and Enforcement of Council Tax, Business Rates, Business Improvement District Levy, and all miscellaneous income due to the Council. The Revenues Service is the first line of contact with members of the public on these matters.

The Experience you will bring.
You should be proficient in use of IT, have excellent communication skills and the ability to make decisions depending on the circumstances of each case, within legislation and the overall objectives of the Council. The ability to use the NEC Revenues & Benefits System would be an advantage, but full training will be given.

You will need to be motivated and flexible and have a proven track record in dealing with customers by letter, telephone, and email. A major requirement of this job is the ability to work under pressure and to be able to deal with situations which may become stressful. The ability to represent the Council in the Magistrates Court would be an advantage, but full training will be given to the right candidate.

Please note, the successful applicant for the above post will be background checked with the Disclosure and Barring Service.
