About this role:
This role includes working across multiple departments to coordinate, give specialist advice and update all the necessary teams to ensure the events are successful from street cleansing to emergency planning.
Here’s what you’ll get up to:
You will support external commercial opportunities to host safe and well managedevents on council owned public open spaces.
You will support event organisers to deliver sustainable events that follow industry standardhealth and safety requirements.
To work with partners internally and externally to effectively manage the use of public open space for the enjoyment of visitors and residents including working with Case Services to ensure events are well spread across agreed event locations in the district.
To manage relationships and expectations between groups and other council departments to enable successful delivery of the event programme.
To identifyany risks to the council, from safety concerns to reputational harm as early as possible and work with multi agency colleagues to advise on suitable mitigations.
There will be the opportunity to occasionally support the council in direct event delivery and event management.
Working Pattern
Flexible working hours around event delivery including evenings and weekends.
Permanent contract with Part time hours, 15.5 hours a week
Hybrid working, with regular days in the new St Georges Lane offices in line with our Smarter Ways of Working Policy.

The successful candidate will have a range of experience in organising outdoor events from working with Safety Advisory Groups to managing relationships with residents and stakeholders.
