The Role
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Production Operator to join a busy manufacturing environment in a varied, hands-on role across multiple areas of the production process. Full training will be provided, making this a great opportunity for someone with previous manufacturing or production experience who is reliable, safety-conscious, and enjoys working as part of a team.
The successful candidate will work on a rotating shift pattern (Days, Noons, Nights) and play a key role in ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality production output.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure the safe and efficient operation of all plant and production equipment
Follow all process and quality procedures at all times, escalating issues when required
Reduce product loss and waste through good manufacturing practices
Carry out product changeovers including:
Completing production paperwork and process documentation
Material testing and taking samples for QC checks
Machine set-up, operation, and adjustments
Maintain housekeeping on a "clean as you go" basis throughout the shift
Report maintenance issues and improvement suggestions through the correct channels
Support site opening and locking procedures depending on shift
Work collaboratively as part of a wider production team to maintain a safe and productive environment
Skills & Experience Required
Previous experience in a production, manufacturing, or factory environment
Ability to follow standard operating procedures and accurately complete written and numerical records
Willingness and flexibility to work rotating shifts:
Days: 6am - 2pm
Noons: 2pm - 10pm
Nights: 10pm - 6am
Forklift (counterbalance) licence and experience would be an advantage but not essential
