Then this could be the role for you.JOB TITLE: LECTURER - SCIENCE (SPECIAL INTEREST IN CHEMISTRY/ BIOLOGY)LOCATION: KING'S LYNNHOURS: 18.5 PER WEEK (TUESDAY, WEDNESDAY & FRIDAY)SALARY: £15,952-£20,117 (£31,904-£40,233FTE)DURATION: PERMANENTWe are recruiting for an additional Lecturer in Science to deliver lessons at level 2 and 3 in chemistry and biology. Previous teaching experience is an advantage but not essential as full support and training will be provided. The successful candidate will have a minimum of a level 4 science related qualification, preferably a degree, and relevant industry experience.We offer our curriculum staff a bespoke induction and training programme - meaning that no matter where you are in your teaching career you receive excellent support, training and access to fantastic resources.Our Kings Lynn campus benefits from 4 purpose-built laboratories, specialising in biology, microbiology, forensic sciences, chemistry, physics, environmental sciences and material sciences. Our laboratories are designed and maintained to CLEAPPS standard(G014) as well as have the ability to undertake a range of advance laboratory procedures up to Level 6 including but not limited to genomics via PCR testing, 3D dissection tables for human physiology and data harvesters with over 20 various sensors that are carefully chosen to meet our curriculum needs. The department is proud to have launched a state of the art weather monitoring station with remote monitoring and updating to the central weather system in the cloud.We work collaboratively with partnership organisations, including the Anglia Ruskin University, University of East Anglia and John Innes, giving our students the best possible experience and access to real world laboratory conditions. We deliver a range of courses from Access to HE diploma in medicine, biosciences, healthcare, forensics, A Level and GCSE. We run a the prestigious Bioscience degree in partnership with ARU and are supported by a great team including fellow Lecturers, technicians and the School of Nursing. Please note that your point on the salary scale will be determined based on both experience and teaching qualifications. Appointments will not normally be made at point 10 or above (£34,687 FTE) without a level 5 teaching qualification and experience.We are a successful, community-focused FE College based in the East of England.
