Night Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) – 7 On / 7 Off
24-Hour Veterinary Hospital | Permanent, Full-Time
This is a permanent, full-time opportunity offering exposure to a high and varied caseload, including emergency and critical care, medical nursing and surgical support.
This role is ideal for an RVN looking to build confidence and expertise in overnight veterinary nursing within a modern hospital setting.
Working Pattern-
7 nights on / 7 nights off

Overnight support includes a twilight Veterinary Care Assistant (VCA)

On-call support from two nurses and a veterinary surgeon

Collaborative and well-structured night rota
The PracticeThe hospital operates as a 24-hour site, providing:

Out-of-hours emergency care

Inpatient hospitalisation and case work-ups

Support for surrounding veterinary practices

First-opinion services during the week
The site has been recently refurbished and extended and offers a state-of-the-art clinical environment, including:

Multiple theatres

Additional consulting rooms

Advanced diagnostic and treatment equipment
The caseload is diverse and complex, making this an excellent opportunity for Registered Veterinary Nurses seeking development in ECC nursing and advanced patient care.

Key ResponsibilitiesThe successful Night RVN will be responsible for:
-
Delivering consistently high standards of patient and client care
-
Supporting medical and surgical procedures, including pre- and post-operative nursing
-
Providing nurse-led consultations and Schedule 3 activities
-
Monitoring and caring for hospitalised and critical patients
-
Managing admissions, discharges and overnight patient transfers
-
Dispensing and checking medications
-
Maintaining accurate clinical records
-
Supporting effective overnight team communication
-
Working in line with clinical, regulatory and operational standards
