An established and well-regarded small animal practice in Solihull is seeking an RCVS Registered Veterinary Nurse to join its friendly and progressive team.
This opportunity would suit a nurse who is passionate about delivering exceptional patient care, works with empathy and professionalism, and enjoys contributing positively to a team environment. The role offers a mix of independence and collaboration, making it ideal for someone confident in their skills while remaining eager to learn and develop.
The successful candidate will have experience in small animal practice and a clear understanding of their role, as well as the wider nursing and support team. There is a strong emphasis on mentoring, knowledge sharing and supporting the development of student nurses and patient care assistants.
The practice is well equipped with modern facilities, including digital x-ray, ultrasound, endoscopy, ECG, capnography and a range of soft tissue and orthopaedic surgical procedures. Nurses are actively involved in a wide variety of cases, ensuring continual learning and professional enrichment.
The Role
• Deliver consistently high standards of patient and client care
• Support with surgeries and procedures, including pre- and post-operative care
• Run nurse-led clinics and schedule 3 activities
• Monitor patients and manage admissions and discharges
• Dispense and check medications accurately
• Work collaboratively with the veterinary and nursing teams to ensure smooth day-to-day practice operations
About You
RCVS Registered Veterinary Nurse
• Experienced in small animal nursing and client care
• Confident working both independently and as part of a team
• Passionate about supporting colleagues and contributing to a positive learning culture
• Organised, adaptable and proactive in a busy clinical environment
