We are looking for a Room Leader for a maternity cover position in a welcoming, child-focused nursery in Bristol, dedicated to delivering high-quality early years education and childcare. The Role:
We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Nursery Room Leader to join our team on a maternity cover basis. You will be responsible for leading a nursery team, planning and delivering EYFS-based activities, and ensuring the smooth running of your room. This is a great opportunity for someone passionate about child development and early years leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead, inspire, and manage your nursery team, providing support and professional development.
Plan and deliver engaging early years activities in line with the EYFS framework.
Ensure a safe, stimulating, and welcoming environment for children.
Observe, assess, and support children’s learning and development.
Maintain effective communication with parents and colleagues.
Ensure full compliance with safeguarding, health, and safety regulations.
Requirements:
Level 3 Early Years qualification or above (or equivalent).
Proven experience in nursery leadership or room leader role.
Strong knowledge of the EYFS and child development principles.
Excellent team management, organizational, and communication skills.
Passion for delivering high-quality childcare and supporting early learning.
