About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and highly organised individual to join our team and be instrumental in the delivery of community-based projects and funding procurement. This is a varied role combining administrative duties, community engagement, and project delivery within the voluntary sector. You will play a key part in ensuring our services run smoothly and that we can demonstrate our impact to funders and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Identify gaps and prepare funding applications.
Assist in developing community events
Engage with community and charity groups to provide support and identify new volunteering opportunities.
Identify training, marketing, and funding opportunities for the Community Infrastructure Partnership (CIP)
Coordinate the Volunteer Centre, supporting individuals to access volunteering opportunities.
Actively promote Unity services, activities, and voluntary sector information through social media.
Support the maintenance and updating of the organisations website, including using WordPress to upload content, manage pages, and ensure information is accurate and accessible.
Maintain database information
About You
You will be enthusiastic, flexible, and committed to making a positive difference within the community. You will have:
A good standard of education and strong written and verbal English skills
Previous experience in administrative or clerical roles
Experience working in the voluntary or community sector
The ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities
Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Experience updating or managing websites (e.g. wordpress)
Delivering or supporting community projects
Producing reports and impact information for funders
Online marketing and use of social media platforms
Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
A UK driving licence
