Overview
We are seeking a Finance Account Manager to manage core finance operations and ensure accurate financial reporting and UK compliance. This role supports day-to-day accounting, payroll, reporting, and business decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
• Maintain accurate accounts in line with UK accounting standards
• Manage invoicing, accounts payable/receivable, credit control, and cash flow
• Prepare monthly management accounts (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow)
• Process payroll including PAYE, NI, pensions, and RTI submissions
• Prepare and submit VAT returns and support Corporation Tax processes
• Track project costs and profitability
• Liaise with external accountants, payroll providers, and HMRC
• Improve financial processes and internal controls
Requirements
• Experience in a finance or accounting role
• Strong knowledge of UK accounting and HMRC compliance
• Experience with payroll, VAT, and financial reporting
• Proficiency in Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, or similar
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
