About The Team:
As part of SRUC, SAC Consulting is one of the leading agricultural consultancies in Scotland. We are uniquely placed to support the sustainable growth and prosperity of agriculture and land-based businesses; working across food supply chains as they rise to the challenges of climate change, biodiversity loss and food security.
The Opportunity:
This is a great opportunity to join SAC Consulting in our Balivanich office, supporting around 300 crofting businesses through a varied and rewarding role. As an Agricultural Technician, you will provide a professional and welcoming front-desk service, carry out general administrative duties, and assist with application and claim forms for agricultural support schemes.
The role combines administrative, technical, and client-facing responsibilities, including managing appointments, maintaining CRM records, preparing paperwork for RPID and the Crofting Commission, and supporting consultants with events and meetings. Knowledge of crofting is desirable, but more important is strong organisational skills, a team-focused approach, attention to detail, and the ability to quickly learn new IT systems.
Minimum Qualifications:
The successful candidate will be educated to SCQF level 6 (SCQF Higher Level) including a high degree of numeracy or possess equivalent experience.
For full person specification, download the job particular document.
Eligibility for Sponsorship:
This role is not eligible for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker route. If you are a migrant worker you will need to ensure you have an appropriate visa to evidence the necessary right to work in the UK.
