Summary
Are you a qualified and/or experienced SEN Teaching Assistant or Learning Support Assistant?
Do you have experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)?
Are you looking for flexible, local SEN support work that offers an improved work life balance?
WorkwithSchools are recruiting SEN Teaching Assistants for ad hoc, short and long-term SEN roles in primary schools within York and across Yorkshire. Our schools team provide opportunities for you to work across a variety of educational settings, helping you to develop your experience in SEND support, inclusive education and 1:1 classroom support.
Ideally, applicants will have experience with:
Supporting pupils with physical disabilities
Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC/ASD), ADHD, or other complex needs
Experience with moving and handling, personal care, and administering medication is highly desirable but not essential.
Previous experience working in mainstream or SEN primary schools, as well as 1:1 SEN support roles, would be advantageous. Our friendly, knowledgeable consultants work closely with our support staff to match candidates with bookings to suit their availability, experience, and preferences.
