What skills and experience we're looking for

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a professional, highly organised and customer focused Senior Finance Assistant to support our Finance Manager and CFOO to work as part of a small team providing comprehensive and responsive financial services to the school. This is a busy and varied role requiring meticulous attention to detail and an ability to multi task to ensure that all tasks are executed effectively to the highest of standards. The successful applicant will have outstanding communication and interpersonal skills and will enjoy a varied workload.

Key responsibilities include:

• To assist with all aspects of the effective and proper financial management such as processing of orders, invoices, direct debits, credit card transactions, sales invoices, BACS, etc.
• Complete month end processes on a +3 working days basis
• Maintain the Trust’s financial procedures and standing orders, make recommendations for improvement

Key Skills and Attributes

• AAT L3 or have a minimum of three years’ experience in a finance function
• Experience of working with computerised accounting packages, particularly IRIS
• Be customer oriented and able to communicate easily with students, parents and staff
• Be a team player and can demonstrate the ability to establish priorities, work independently and work on their own initiative without direct supervision on all routine matters
