Salary: Grade 3, £24,796 - £25,583 per annum. £12.85 - £13.26 per hour

2 positions x 37 hours per week

Your role:

An exciting new opportunity is around the corner with the launch of a brand-new Café within Robin Park Leisure Centre working in our events & hospitality team.

As part of the Events & Hospitality Team, you will work within the Café but may be required to support events at other locations.

You will be working in a busy cafe with the responsibility for delivering good service & customer care and catering operations including the preparation and service of high-quality nutritional meals for all our visitors, staff and our events programme.

You will be handling cash, using a POS system and cash reconciliation.

You will be compliant with health and safety, food safety, control of substances hazardous to health (COSHH) and manual handling.

About you:

The ideal person for this role needs to be able to plan, work and manage their time efficient and effectively demonstrating accurate and concise work.

You must have good organisational, verbal and written communication skills and use your own initiative and work flexible as part of a team.

You will have great customer service skills to deal with a range of people and will always promote a professional image, which is representative of the service.

You must be an individual who is passionate about events and food delivery who provides the best service possible to customers, staff and visitors to the leisure centre and other event locations.

You will be joining our vibrant & busy Events & Hospitality Team and we are responsible for delivering events within our Leisure Centres, Corporate Events within the Borough of Wigan & commercial revenue.

You will be involved in the opening & running of our brand-new café which will open early this year.

You’ll be given a full induction which includes food safety and health and safety, and we’ll give you the opportunity to learn and develop within the service.
