Job Title: Deputy Manager

Responsible to: Registered Manager
Location: Sutton Coldfield
Hours: 40 hours per week
Additional flexibility and working hours will be required to meet the needs of the service.
Salary: £35,620 per annum (dependent on qualifications and experience)
Additional Benefits:

  • Sleep-ins paid at £70 per night


  • Bonus-related pay


    About the Role

    We are seeking a committed, motivated, and experienced Deputy Manager to support the Registered Manager in the effective day-to-day management of our service in Sutton Coldfield. This is a key leadership role, ideal for someone passionate about delivering high-quality care and support while developing and leading a strong staff team.

    The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining high standards of care, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and promoting a positive, safe, and person-centred environment.

    Key Responsibilities
    • Support the Registered Manager in the overall management and development of the service


    • Lead, supervise, and motivate staff to deliver high-quality, person-centred care


    • Assist with staff recruitment, induction, training, and performance management


    • Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, policies, and regulatory standards


    • Contribute to care planning, risk assessments, and reviews


    • Act as a point of contact for staff, service users, families, and professionals


    • Deputise for the Registered Manager in their absence


    • Promote a culture of continuous improvement, safeguarding, and best practice


      About You
      • Previous experience in a senior or supervisory role within a care setting


      • Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills


      • A sound understanding of care standards, safeguarding, and regulatory frameworks


      • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins where required


      • A compassionate, professional, and proactive approach
