TeacherActive is proud to be working closely with fantastic SEND schools in South Birmingham, and we are seeking a SEND Teacher to join on a short-term basis, with a potential for the role to extend and develop into a longer‑term opportunity for the right person. The schools encourage innovative practice, promote independence, and provide nurturing environments for learners with complex needs.
This role will involve supporting students across all Key Stages, with diagnoses including Autism / ASD, SLD / Severe Learning Difficulties, PMLD, SEMH, and challenging behaviours. A proactive thinker who can confidently take control of situations is essential.
The successful SEND Teacher will have:
• QTS
• Experience supporting children and young people with additional needs
• Experience with therapeutic or holistic approaches
• Confidence working with complex behaviours and a varied curriculum
• Experience working with groups of children or on a 1-2-1 basis
