As part of this platform, you will lead, direct, and shape innovative approaches to addressing technical and business challenges at the forefront of Lloyds Banking Group's client interface, serving millions of businesses across the UK. You will translate propositions into concrete, impactful architectures that advance our mission of Helping Britain Prosper. This is an excellent opportunity for an Enterprise Architect passionate about defining digital architectures using cloud-native technologies and modern architectural patterns.
So, what would you be doing?
As an Enterprise Architect, you'll be accountable for architecture decisions within your area, continually influencing, challenging, and supporting the Commercial teams to build and align with their strategic roadmaps. You'll also act as a key voice, engaging with all Group Enabling Platforms to help deliver business roadmaps.
You'll build and sustain strong, productive partnerships across platforms and functions, promoting, communicating, and championing the Bank's strategies. In this role, you'll shape the future of Commercial Banking by deepening your understanding of the industry and forging strong relationships with leading third-party vendors.
You'll join an agile environment where you'll tackle complex, high-impact challenges that demand creativity, dedication, and leadership to drive our transformation agenda. Collaboration and trust will be at the heart of everything you do as you work with colleagues across the organisation to achieve meaningful results.
What you'll need:
Domain and Technology skills
· Strong Experience in designing and building solutions for Digital experiences using contemporary Cloud Native architectures.
· Experience with Public Cloud platforms (GCP, Azure or AWS) with sound understanding of Cloud Architecture concepts and ability to engage with a range of stakeholders to explain and implement.
· Experience in banking would be beneficial, Business and Commercial would be preferred but Retail Banking, Payments and Non-Banking Financial services are also relevant.
· Ability to shape, influence and lead Architectural outcomes for a mid-to-large organisation with demonstrated stakeholder management, including active participation in Architectural forums.
· Good technology knowledge across various topics including (but not limited to) domain-driven models, API and event-based architectures, microservices, event-driven design, hybrid cloud deployment models, DevOps CI/CD, modern data paradigms, cyber security, resilience by design and sustainability.
· Sound awareness of emerging technologies, their maturity and strong understanding of their potential business application and consequences including how they align to long term strategy.
Values, Communication and Culture
· Proactive in spotting opportunities, connecting dots, working on short-term, medium-term and long-term lenses to ensure a strong balance of shaping and execution.
· You'll use strong storytelling skills, both written and verbally, in how you present your communication recommendations in line with priorities.
· Strong communication and relationship building skills to work collaboratively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
· Proven success in establishing a culture of continuous improvement and driving innovation.
· You'll be a confident individual, passionate about architecture and making a difference, able to build effective relationships at all levels (up to and including Executive level), being a strong influencer.
· You've worked in established complex organisations with large customer bases so have a good appreciation of the non-functional considerations and crafting systems accordingly.
· Breadth of experience in architecture, in a regulated industry
