Crynodeb
Post holder will also have opportunity to be fully conversant with Clinical Governance process and will contribute to Departmental Clinical Governance. There are weekly teaching sessions organised where attendance would be expected (unless on leave or working night shifts). In line with Trust policy, study leave will be provided for the post holder to pursue higher qualifications related to EM as well as some monies towards partly funding of life support courses. The Emergency Department provides a Consultant-led service; post holders will form an integral part of the multidisciplinary team that provides Emergency Services. As part of this responsibility, the team, will, be involved in the planning and development of emergency care and the development of an acute assessment unit. Together with the departmental management team, the post-holder will plan and develop the departments Major and CBRN Incident Response Plans and will participate in exercises to test and develop these plans.
