Summary
The post is for a 6+ month period, and is due to become available to start as soon as possible.
Applications are invited from a committed and enthusiastic doctor for the above post who will work within the BSGE accredited Endometriosis Centre at St Michael’s, supported by the friendly and cohesive team. This post may suit candidates with various aims, including those looking to gain experience prior to applying for SITMs in Management of Complex Non-Malignant Disease or Robotic Assisted Gynaecological Surgery, gain first author publications in peer reviewed journals, learn specialist endometriosis ultrasound scanning and gain experience of advanced laparoscopic and robotic techniques including excision of rectovaginal disease. They will NOT have any on-call commitments and have 1 day per week protected for research, quality improvement projects or pursuing related areas of specialist interest. They will also gain experience in regular endometriosis, specialist endometriosis scan, reproductive medicine and general gynaecology clinics.
Annual leave and study leave are covered prospectively. As a valued member of the team you will be included in the educational and training activities of the unit and encouraged to contribute to the teaching of nurses, and other junior doctors.
St Michael’s Hospital is a large teaching hospital and is part of University Hospital Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust with close linked with the University of Bristol.
