Summary
We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and self motivated Band 5 Community Psychiatric Nurse to work in the Broxtowe and Hucknall Local Mental Health Team. You will need to be able to engage proactively with individuals using the principles of recovery to provide effective mental healthcare for patients across the mental health spectrum, alongside care coordination for some patients under the Care Programme Approach. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to the development of the service and develop your own skills and attributes. Duties will include involvement in managing a medication clinic, case management of clients with complex mental health needs, utilising professional core skills, working with family and friends. The role will include involvement in the development and promotion of the City South Local Mental Health Team. This post would suit a newly qualified mental health nurse and we welcome applications for students in the final stages of their pre-registration nursing course. A full UK driving licence and vehicle for business use is required for this post; however reasonable adjustments will be made for disabled individuals in line with the Equality Act 2010. Please note applicants will be required to pay for their DBS check. Costs are deducted from salary following appointment. The cost of the DBS application is £26.40 (standard) or £54.40 (enhanced), this cost will be deducted from your salary over the first 2 months of employment. You are encouraged to enrol for the DBS Update Service. An annual fee of £16 per year applies.
