Crynodeb
To take a lead role in the day-to-day management of the department, taking responsibility for quality standards within that area. To ensure there are adequate resources to run an efficient service including: stock, consumables, IT equipment and access, equipment, reporting and resolving issues To become competent, as an advanced user, in the use of the laboratory computer system, entering and amending patient specimen information and requests. To ensure that all departmentally agreed procedures are applied and adhered to and participate in the review of these systems and methods where necessary. To monitor and ensure compliance with national and local health and safety and security standards. To monitor and ensure that national and local guidelines on data confidentiality and the Data Protection Act are adhered to. To collate and submit data for finance and quality performance reports to meet the departments reporting requirements Any other duties which may be requested by the Manager and Consultant(s) in order to facilitate the smooth running of the department.
