Covering 5 locations between London and Kent

£29,000 - £32,000 per annum depending on experience

Are you a confident and supportive leader with a passion for high standards and team development? We’re looking for a Cleaning Duty Manager to join our Transport Division between London and Kent. In this role, you’ll lead a team of Cleaning Operatives helping maintain high cleaning standards across multiple rail sites and ensuring operations run smoothly.

At Churchill Group, we put people and purpose at the heart of everything we do. We’ll support your development with training, mentoring, and tools to help you succeed and grow with us.

As a Cleaning Duty Manager you will:

  • Supporting and guiding Supervisors and cleaning teams to meet high-quality service and safety standards.
  • Ensuring team members are trained in health and safety (including HSEQ and machinery use), and that training records are up to date.
  • Carrying out daily quality audits and reporting findings to the Account Manager.
  • Helping to recruit and onboard new team members when vacancies arise.
  • Leading regular staff briefings and monthly safety discussions (toolbox talks).

As a Cleaning Duty Manager you’ll have:

  • Experience in a supervisory or team leadership role, ideally in cleaning, FM, or a similar operational setting.
  • Knowledge of COSHH, Health & Safety, and (ideally) an IOSH certificate.
  • A calm, organised approach with the ability to prioritise under pressure. A people-first mindset – you're committed to supporting and motivating your team.
  • Ability to meet vetting requirements, including a 5-year work history check.

What we offer you

We believe in rewarding talent and creating a workplace where everyone feels valued. Here’s what you’ll get:

  • Employee Ownership – You are part of our success!
  • Company sick pay
  • 24/7 GP access, plus mental health, wellness, financial, and legal support
  • Two paid volunteering days per year – Give back to a cause that matters to you
  • Exclusive perks and discounts – More than 250 deals available
  • Ongoing training and development – From apprenticeships to leadership programs
  • Wellbeing, Diversity & Inclusion – Our Mosaic Committee and Mental Health First Aiders are leading the way
  • Recognition and rewards – Celebrating our shining stars all year round

Our commitment to Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion: Churchill is an inclusive, equal opportunity employer and seeks to attract, develop and retain the best people from the widest possible talent pool. We’re committed to ensuring that all candidates are treated fairly, and with respect and dignity throughout the recruitment process.
