The Team Leader role at Hawthorn Recovery Unit plays a key role in Older Adults Mental Health Service at the North London Foundation Trust.

A key aspect of the service is to provide timely and intensive interventions, allowing individuals to receive the treatment and support they need whilst remaining in their own home.

The post becomes available from April 2026 due to the current Team Leader retiring

This role will suit you if you are:

ready to take on an established and well respected service to lead and manage the next period of change as the service expands

Provides clinical and managerial leadership for the service.

Ensures the service is safe, effective and responsive to clinical need.

Promotes a positive team culture to strive for excellence in service delivery.

Responsible for recruitment ensuring that the team has safe staffing levels and that staff have the range of skills required to carry out their individual roles.

Manages timely patient flow through the service from referral to discharge, working closely with the Consultant Psychiatrists and keyworkers.

Uses a wide range of online systems for clinical, staff and resource management

Provides supervision, appraisal and training to support staff development

Manages a small clinical caseloadcarrying out assessments, treatment interventions and working with carers and family members

In order to meet the needs of the Trust you may be required from time to time to work at different locations to your normal place of work. This may mean that you are required to work at any location that fall under Barnet, Camden, Enfield, Haringey or Islington. The Trust reserves the right to require staff to work at such other places or locations as it considers reasonable and necessary on a temporary or permanent basis.
