Mechanical Site Supervisor
Location: Bournemouth
FJA are recruiting on behalf of a leading national service provider within the utilities sector for an experienced Site Supervisor - Mechanical to join and strengthen their construction team. This is an excellent opportunity to work on essential infrastructure projects with a contractor known for quality, safety, and long-term career development.
The Role
As a Mechanical Site Supervisor you will take responsibility for overseeing and coordinating all mechanical installation activities on site. Working closely with the Site Manager, you will ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards, while meeting programme and budget requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Support the Site Manager in maintaining a safe, compliant, and well-organised working environment
Ensure all Health, Safety & Environmental (HS&E) documentation is accurate, compliant, and up to date
Maintain high QA/QC standards throughout the mechanical installation process
Supervise works in line with approved method statements, risk assessments, and work instructions
Monitor and record progress of works using record drawings or other suitable methods
Identify and record non-conformances and improvement opportunities, agreeing corrective actions with relevant parties
Coordinate site teams and subcontractors to ensure smooth delivery of mechanical works
About You
Several years' experience within the water or utilities sector, with a strong mechanical background
Proven expertise in pipework fabrication, pressure testing, welding, and mechanical erection
Proficient in pipeline fabrication and assembly, including punching and snagging to Isometric, GA, and P&ID drawings
Qualified to HNC/HND level in Mechanical Engineering, or completion of a recognised welding apprenticeship with substantial practical experience
Hold valid SSSTS, CSCS, and First Aid certifications
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
