Please note that if you currently work for another NHS Trust or UHSussex and you are applying to accept this position as a secondment opportunity, before applying you must seek agreement and authorisation from your current Trust/Manager. Secondments cant be agreed without this approval. If you are unable to gain approval you should refrain from applying unless you wish to take this role as a fixed term position. To support the ward sister in the effective management of the area. Inaddition the post holder will provide nursing leadership within this area,ensuring an effective quality nursing service, with responsibility forstandards of nursing care and patient safety in conjunction with theward sister. They will be responsible for some audits that are regularly done, expected to maintain high standards within the ward environment , and lead in the absence of the ward sister along with 2 other deputies.
